Sir Henry Boynton, Knt., was aged 20 yers at his father's death, did homage 4 Henry 7, and had livery of his lands, lord of Sedbury, Castle levington, &c., jure patris, and lord of Ravensworth, &c., co. Durham, jure matris. He and his wife were admitted of Corpus Christi, York, in 1493, died 7 Jan., 1531, buried at Gilling. He bore a lion passant on the fess. M.I. Gilling.
