Staithes

At Staithes you park your car at the top of the hill and walk down to the village and the sea shore. In 1999 Anne and John Robert Boynton were headed down.

We were looking for somewhere to eat lunch. We ate at another establishment, but we do not recommend eating in Staithes.

When you get to the bottom of the hill you are at the sea shore. This picture shows the harbor, the sea walls protecting it, and on the horizon you can just see a passing ship.

The beach is the tourist attraction. It did not seem particularly busy, but we were there on a weekday in May. Undoubtedly it becomes much busier as the season for sunning by the sea arrives.
