Sir Robert Boynton Called to Parliament
Pledges Inquiry into "Gaveston Affair"

Sir Robert Boynton joined the Earl of Lincoln and scores of the country's finest nobles in questioning the King's relationship with Piers Gaveston, a low born son of a minor knight and a witch.

It has been reported that Gaveston used his dark powers, learned from his mother, to bewitch the King! It certainly seems to observers of the Court that the King is under Gaveston's sway. Despite his banishment to Ireland just last year, Gaveston is back in England.

"That Gaveston rogue is bleeding the King (and the country) dry, what with all the gifts of land and positions the King turns over to him. And he behaves arrogantly to all the lords and barons, when he is just a lowly knight by birth," seethed an irate courtier, who asked not to be named.

"We'll get to the bottom of this!" pledged Boynton before he departed for London. "If the King will not look after the interests of the country, then we must do it for him. England will not be ruled by a low born foreigner!"
